Highlights of a weekend spent well...

Cajun Kate's Beef Brisket Po-Boy: Cajun Kate's is a Cajun food stand in the middle of the iconic Broothwyn Farmer's Market. It's insanely good and insanely small. It might have seven bar seats...smushed up against the 5ft by 5ft kitchen area. And, it's true, I've only been around for about 23 years, BUT these guys make THE BEST beef brisket I've ever had...in my life. Familiar with the Farmer's Marketing? It's right by door 12.

Sebastian Le Toux's Pink cleats: This weekend was the Philadelphia Union's LAST HOME GAME. And they won...thank goodness, against the unimaginative corporate lackies, The NY Red Bulls (great name:::FART:::). Anyway, Le Toux, a French footballer who plays for Philadelphia, wears these PINK CLEATS. The end.

My new family member: Joining me, Sophie, Jen, Liz, and all the koi, Eos is my mother's newest child. An all black, hard top convertible, Eos is definitely the favorite. Though not the prettiest of my mother's children, with a rather unflattering profile and a big nose, Eos is fun as hell to drive and very utilitarian - a great size, a non-rag drop-top, and a VW. You truly can't judge a book by it's cover...
